Run for fun

When out for a run this morning in Glasgow Green I clearly got some benefits of having what is increasingly becoming a sense of no competition with myself or others. How do I know that I'm not attached to a specific outcome or need to compare myself to others and wanting what they have? My body feels relaxed, I have access to energy and my mind is at peace. I related this state to my sense of mattering. When I know

that I matter as a human being merely by the fact that I exist and not by what I own or a lifestyle that I have, in every moment and in any circumstances I can be OK. Better than OK, I'm at peace in myself. With regards to my running practice I am constantly surprised by my small achievements eg this morning I thought I might run for 20mins and I easily ran for 35 without trying. My body feels at ease and I'm not aware of strain or tiredness. Even when the elastic in my knickers was giving and I had to pull them up all the way round I didn't get annoyed, in fact I found it funny. Lightheartedness and fun! Who doesn't want more of that for their lives?
